Dr. Freeman is an educational theorist, social scientist, and nationally recognized former academic administrator with experience in various aspects of academic and student affairs. He has direct experience in the areas of faculty development, residential life and advancement and development functions. His research interests include higher education leadership and faculty development, faculty careers, and higher education as a field of study. Dr. Freeman is a prolific author with nearly 100 articles to his credit and has lectured and presented at institutions such as Harvard University, Oxford University (UK), Jerusalem College of Technology (Israel), and RMIT University Vietnam, Saigon. He was named “the 2020 recipient of Auburn University’s College of Education Outstanding Young Alumni award”. And recently honored as one of the Accomplished Under 40 award recipients for 2020 by the Idaho Business Review. In 2021 Dr. Freeman gave and received the Barbara Townsend Lecture and Award from the Association for the Study of Higher Education. And in 2022, he was invited to serve as a Visiting Scholar in the Office of the Provost at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the owner and president of Dr. Freeman, LLC. educational consulting and Executive Director of the Liberation Movement (TLM) which provides services to individuals who have been liberated or seek to be liberated spiritually, socially, and psychologically through educational initiatives.
